WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS

Do you have some spare time and looking to put something back into your community?

Are you a team player who likes to have fun but also make a difference?

The Rotary Club of Wessex Mead may be for you!

WHAT IS ROTARY?

Rotary International is a global network of service volunteers. It is the world's largest service organisation for business and professional people, with some 1,210,905 members operating in 168 countries world-wide. There are some 58,000 Rotarians in Great Britain and Ireland in 1,845 clubs, helping those in need and working towards world understanding and peace. Its a fulfilling role, and Rotarians can get involved as much or as little as their time will allow. But there is much more. Clubs meet on a regular basis, which allows members to build firm friendships. Every Rotarian has a right to attend any Club meeting anywhere in the world, so there is always somewhere to go, and people to meet, wherever business or leisure travel may take you.

WHO ARE WESSEX MEAD?

We are a group of late 30s somethings, both male and female, who meet once a week as a club. Our base is The Red or White Restaurant in Trowbridge. Many of us have families and work commitments and know how precious time is, so we commit as much time to the organisation that we individually can. The club is divided into 4 committees, Youth Activities, International, Community and Vocational, plus one for the club – each with their own agenda.  Every member belongs to one of those committees. On a rota we meet as a committee to discuss our business one week, another meeting that month we will meet for a meal to discuss that business, the other two weeks in the month are fun weeks where we can be doing anything from quiz nights, archery, ten pin bowling, having a talk, the list goes on.
