HOLLY CAME 2nd ! CONGRATULATIONS

Wessex mead Young Chef 2010, Holly Sumbler from Lavington School, came runner up at the District 1200 Young Chef Final on 12 February 2011. Her menu comprised: Mushroom wrapped in parma ham stuffed with stilton, followed by smoked salmon and horseradish tart, roasted tomatoes and leaf salad and lemon dressing, with a dessert of tiramisu cake bowl.
Competition was tough with all those taking part making the most delicious meals. First place went to Alex Fish from Melksham Oak Community School (Rotary Club of Melksham). Alex and Holly competed with 13 other young people in the competition at King Arthur's Community School in Wincanton. They will both now go through to the regional round which will take place in March (date to be confirmed).
We wish Holly lots of luck in the next round where she will compete against Alex and 6 other young people.
